7+ years of blogging on Amdall Gallery
The very first blog post. Site was abandoned fairly quickly afterward until 2017.
Returned to the site, started analyzing data. The beginning of continuous blog posts for the next 4 years (and counting).
First artwork post, returning to drawing after over a decade. Didn't know at the time this would become a major hobby.
Published my first book! Essentially about my experience returning to art after being away from it for so long.
Start of the pandemic, stayed busy publishing a new book, drawing, and getting organized.
Launched a YouTube channel to show progression videos instead of .gifs.
Launched a new website focused on product impressions and reviews.
I have shown improvement over the years, but know there is still much to learn.
My first painting! I've long wanted to try oil painting, and I finally made the leap towards the end of 2023.
My first full year of painting was 2023 - by the end of the year, I'd completed 179 total (146 in 2023).
What's next? More painting for sure. But will I attempt to enter another art show? In my first year of painting, I did around 150 portraits. At my usual pace, I should hit 200 by March.
I wanted to push myself to practice, and I think that goal was accomplished. That may be a high bar for the next year, but I definitely want to keep going.
