Dark Ponytail Profile Repeat Sketch

A moody, deeply shadowed profile study, dark hair swept back to fully reveal a strong, contemplative profile line. Heavy graphite shading pools beneath the brow and along the jaw, giving the face dramatic dimensional weight uncommon among the artist’s lighter sketches. The downcast, sideways gaze and loosely rendered shoulder keep the mood introspective rather than confrontational. Windblown strands escaping the dark ponytail add subtle movement to the otherwise still composition. The overall mood is intense and brooding, shadow doing the majority of the emotional work.
