Giclee Print – Darkest Scene Oil Painting

This painting involved pushing the boundaries of how dark I could get my paints. I try to mix my own shades of black using ultramarine blue and various browns (usually raw umber), and in this case I was able to get a very deep set of colors. I tried to also match with similarly dark hair for a nice subtle difference.
