Casual Pose, Giclee Art Print

Casual Pose, Art Print of an Oil Painting. This figure study was an effort to try a very casual sitting pose, which actually turned into a painting I like more than I thought I would. Those pleasant art surprises are nice when they happen. I liked the way this figure looked against white, but also didn’t want to take the easy road by skipping the background. I ended up using titanium white with some splotches of beige/browns, then really working that dirty brush to hopefully make it look like a wall.

Additional Details: Original oil painting by Jon Amdall using alla prima direct painting technique, Utrecht brushes, Gamblin and Utrecht paints, and Strathmore paper. Art prints are from FinerWorks on their Premium Giclee thick (21-mil) heavy weight (310g) paper. For artwork with multiple size options, the first listed is always the original dimensions, with similar orientations in larger sizes following. For example, for paintings that were originally square, I’ll offer a few square size options, then some cropped vertical or horizontal choices. See image gallery photos for examples of each orientation.

As noted in the returns and exchanges section, any returns will be at buyer cost for shipping. I exchanges will be handled as a return with a new printing order placed. Custom orders can be placed for additional sizes and surface options, including canvass and several dozen paper types. Contact me for additional details.
