Secret of Mana

Forest Adventurers in a Spirited Debate, Giclee Print of a Fantasy Painting

Giclee Art Print - from $80

Forest Adventurers in a Spirited Debate – Giclee art print of an oil painting, inspired by classic fantasy RPGs. This painting features several subjects in a great forest near a massive tree, discussing something emotional or that may be causing friction. The woman with the spear is in an assertive position, with the man with a sword appearing to differ in opinion. The short character is trying to reason with them. This piece is inspired by the retro RPG games that I first played when I was a kid, including some particularly impactful scenes and atmospheres like this one.

Additional Details: Original oil painting by Jon Amdall using alla prima direct painting technique, Utrecht brushes, Gamblin and Utrecht paints, and Strathmore paper. Art prints are from FinerWorks on their Premium Giclee thick (21-mil) heavy weight (310g) paper. Scans of originals are 720 DPI, 48 bit color, to capture the smallest details and textures. For artwork with multiple size options, the first listed is always the original dimensions, with similar orientations in larger sizes following. For example, for paintings that were originally square, I’ll offer a few square size options, then some cropped vertical or horizontal choices. See image gallery photos for examples of each orientation.
