Melancholy Scene Looking into the Past – Giclee art print of an oil painting, inspired by classic fantasy RPGs. This painting features a sad scene, but one that I think resonates with a lot of classic RPG fans. The subject on the left journeyed from another time and is looking on at a moment that is important to him. The woman in the scene is a key part of the story, but her fateful moment still awaits. This piece is inspired by the retro RPG games that I first played when I was a kid, including some interpretations of particularly impactful scenes and plotlines.

Additional Details: Original oil painting by Jon Amdall using alla prima direct painting technique, Utrecht brushes, Gamblin and Utrecht paints, and Strathmore paper. Art prints are from FinerWorks on their Premium Giclee thick (21-mil) heavy weight (310g) paper. Scans of originals are 720 DPI, 48 bit color, to capture the smallest details and textures.
