Primary Colors and Light Source, Giclee Art Print
Primary Colors and Light Source, oil on paper. This portrait was an effort to emphasize more red, yellow, and blue highlights and interactions, which hopefully helps those areas pop out from my usual grays. I also wanted to practice a strong direct light source. In the longer version of this, I also synced up a recording of the palette activity, which is kind of fun.
Additional Details: Original oil painting by Jon Amdall using alla prima direct painting technique, Utrecht brushes, Gamblin and Utrecht paints, and Strathmore paper. Art prints are from FinerWorks on their Premium Giclee thick (21-mil) heavy weight (310g) paper. For artwork with multiple size options, the first listed is always the original dimensions, with similar orientations in larger sizes following. For example, for paintings that were originally square, I’ll offer a few square size options, then some cropped vertical or horizontal choices. See image gallery photos for examples of each orientation.
As noted in the returns and exchanges section, any returns will be at buyer cost for shipping. I exchanges will be handled as a return with a new printing order placed. Custom orders can be placed for additional sizes and surface options, including canvass and several dozen paper types. Contact me for additional details.
