Impressionist Portrait of Woman – Art print of an oil painting. This was an interesting portrait because I had a clear point in the middle when I almost stopped. Not out of frustration, but because I just really liked how it looked without a background- the subject was so vivid she seemed to pop off the page. But I did end up pushing forward and still like the result. Overall, I feel like it really highlights aspects of alla prima oil painting, impressionism, and portraiture I’ve tried to practice and improve on. I love dark backgrounds as well, and this incorporated some nice variations of dark paint blends.
