Woman Casually Sitting, Art Print of an Oil Painting. There are times when I’m painting and I just get snagged on something. With this one, somehow I block in colors and shapes in the subjects face that looked completely off. Fortunately, I didn’t get too in my feelings about it, bypassed frustration, and just let myself work through it. The mindset was “I’ll just push the paint around more and see where it goes.” Eventually, things did settle where they needed to – I was able to push through that awkward portrait phase and ended up with a result I really like. In fact, I think this one is one of my favorites, which I never would have thought possible early in the process.
