Jon Amdall is a portrait artist focusing primarily on portraiture using oil paint and pencils. Best known for his expressive oil portraits and reflections on artistic process, Jon approaches painting with the immediacy of alla prima technique, capturing light, form, and emotion in a style informed by impressionistic realism.
Although he began formally exploring oil painting only a few years ago, Jon has already produced hundreds of works and shared his process widely through blogs, social media, and painting walkthroughs.
