Fall Window, Art Print of an Oil Painting. I finally tried a new painting surface for this painting, which was interesting experience. For almost every painting, I’ve used Strathmore Oil Paper, which is fairly stiff and textured, made to resemble canvass. This time, I tried Stonehenge Oil Paper, which is much softer and has a very different feel while painting. I think this painting turned out to be one of my favorites.
Additional Details: Original oil painting by Jon Amdall using alla prima direct painting technique, Utrecht brushes, Gamblin and Utrecht paints, and Strathmore paper. Art prints are from FinerWorks on their Premium Giclee thick (21-mil) heavy weight (310g) paper.
