Lady Leaning on Her Hand – Giclee Art Print of Oil Painting. I create these paintings using the alla prima approach, and with this one I was trying to work more on light and color in sort of an impressionist style. I find it’s helpful to try breaking the portrait into small shapes of color, blocking in similar hues and values across the piece rather than finishing a specific section. Since I use wet on wet technique, I rely heavily on being able to finish a piece all in one session, and on the ability to blend directly on the painting surface.
